Maxwell Makes his Move

Adam Maxwell Set for ROI National Hot Rod Switch in 2026

National Hot Rod driver Adam Maxwell (#76) has confirmed he will not compete in the Northern Ireland National Hot Rod Championship in 2026, opting instead to race in the Republic of Ireland series for the upcoming season.

Maxwell explained that the move is motivated by a desire for a fresh challenge, while also helping him prepare for some of the sport's biggest events across the water.

"I'm looking for a bit of a change for a year, and also looking to improve my long-track pace for the majors in England. Hopefully this means they will get a few more cars out this year too to keep it fun," Maxwell said.

The switch means that Maxwell's points earned during the Super Round at Speed Weekend will be reset. He will begin the 2026 campaign on zero points before starting to score in the Republic of Ireland Championship from Round One.

The move marks a new chapter for the #76 driver as he looks to build experience on the longer circuits while taking on a different championship in 2026.
